I want to talk about understanding the anointing. I don't know if we'll ever truly and completely understand the anointing, but I know that I walk in the anointing of the Lord, and I know others walk in the anointing of the Lord. The anointing is for this reason for Kingdom purpose. What is the purpose? The purpose of anointing is to see the kingdom advance, and that flows out of the love and the intimate relationship that we have with the Lord in our lives.
For years, and even as a Christian, I had no idea what the anointing was. I would go to church and people were getting goosebumps, touched by the Lord, crying, and I didn’t comprehend what was happening spiritually.This went on in my life for years. I literally had zero understanding but I was hungry for the things of God to manifest in my life. Scripture says, “Ask and you shall receive, knock, and the door will be open.” So I would continue to go to the Lord and say, Lord, I don't understand any of this.
I was raised Roman Catholic and I was an altar boy and I knew I always had a heart for the Lord from the age of eight onwards, I had a relationship with the Lord. For years I would go before the Lord asking him to produce fruit in my life and that the scriptures would manifest in me. I would tell the Lord that I need these things if I'm going to achieve what you want me to achieve. Receiving from The Lord many times is definitely a process. It's a process that we walk through our whole lives and we're never finished in this process. I'm still a student of the Lord. How much do I know of God what fraction of a percentage of God do we know the creator of the universe? He released for you something special and it's called Grace. With it comes the anointing with purpose in and for your life. Having an understanding that we must surrender and He's the one that brings us into the realms of His glory, the realms of His presence. Over the years the Lord has anointed multitudes for HIS purpose in their lives. I believe that my anointing has come from the exposure of anointing in other places that some would call portals of his presence.
Coming into the presence in church or portals elsewhere increases the grace of God in our lives. When we come into that atmosphere and meet others that are believers in Christ Jesus and we communicate with them the anointing is going back and forthfrome one to another. Sometimes you'll have a sense I need to say this to them and that to them in ministry. Don't be afraid to do that because that's the anointing of the Holy Spirit and understanding in our lives that we have this gift everyday. Supernatural moments of time supernaturally by the spirit of the Lord and when we come to that revelation Christ in us the hope of glory and when our focus is the kingdom the anointing of Heaven flows through you.
But the anointing is not for us it’s for everyone else to touch them with the kingdom of God that is a part of our lives. There will be days where you don't feel like it but you know what, our feelings are totally in opposition at times to God and so the anointing always is outwards to others touching them in the name of Jesus. I believe the anointing is to touch hearts and in your life remember that purpose at all times. When you think the enemy is taking you out just know the Holy Spirit is arranging things like never before. You know what looks like defeat can be the greatest victory in your life. A perfect example is Christ going to the cross. To His disciples that looked like the greatest defeat but it became the greatest victory. If you need a victory, I want you to rearrange the way you look at defeat and remember my words when it looks hopeless because there is nothing hopeless with God.
The anointing declares the goodness of God. The anointing desires to set the captives free, and so there's something about the anointing that God releases as a gift to you.
What is He looking for? Obedience vessels are willing to surrender and lay down their lives because it isn't your life anyway, it is him working in and through you. As soon as you realize that, the better off you will be.
We don't have much control over our lives. I'm not being negative; we don't, and that's why we need to trust in the Lord. The protection of God surrounds me because He's not finished with me yet. And here's the deal: if your heart is still beating, He's not finished with you yet. It's a way and a view that we must have about life as believers. We must do what? believe. Trust.
I can guarantee that every person in this place has had things happen in your life that you didn't expect or anticipate. Your greatest weaknesses in the hands of the Lord become your greatest strengths with the presence of the Lord's miracles, signs, and wonders in your being.
Did you know the power of God is in you? And here we are whining because we can’t make ends meet and the creator of the earth is in our hearts and our lives. I'm selfish because I want more of Him because I can’t do this, and I mean, being a human being. I can't do it without the anointing of God and His presence in my life. I'm honest when I say I'm addicted; I'm addicted to the presence of God, and very seriously, when I minister outwards, I receive more.
How does the anointing grow in our lives simply by this: those that are faithful in little will be given much, getting much more. I'm after more, I need him, I need His anointing. There's a breaker anointing that I sense that will become increasingly available to surrender vessels for his glory. We're in a new season of increase, a season of increase where the enemies trying to point you in one direction but the holy spirit's pointing us in another direction. Fear cannot control us. 6 years ago now when we where conducting a New Years conference, I prophesied over our church a word that declared that we must live over Psalms 91 under his shelter. I said this year we're not only going to have to have a solid understanding of Psalms 91 it must be our daily mannah. He who dwells under the shadow of the most high. We're at the end of the age; forgive me for this but all hell is breaking loose. Hell is coming against us, all hell and Israel under attack demonstrates the church is under attack., Perhaps all hell is breaking loose maybe against your life maybe against my life. Are you ready because he that dwells in the secret place will abide under his shadow in challenging times.
So don't be surprised that the Holy Spirit comes to you in very unexpected ways. I saturate myself in the presence of the Lord. I've been hungry for years and years, and I still haven't arrived at the fullness and the anointing of the Lord. I'm a quiet, soft-spoken person, but when the spirit of the Lord comes on me, I'm changed by the spirit, and that’s how I know that it isn’t me; it’s the Lord.
If you want that type of revelation, you can lay hands on the sick and know Heaven is there, demons being cast out. You know being a Christian is fun. If you want a dry religion, go someplace else because Christianity is fun. Walking with God is fun; having Him in your life is fun; it's not a god of restriction. He's a God of increase in love, and everything from the kingdom of God flows out of that love. You know you don't deserve it, and I don't even have to be prophetic to say that I don't deserve it, but that is the nature of his love.
We cannot even describe the love that God has got for us. God's love is sacrificial. He died for you He died for me. That alone is one of the greatest miracles that He ever could do and that we are headed to Eternity. But I want to take as many people with me as possible. Some who don't have a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ will you allow the Holy Spirit to touch you? Wherever you're at around the world right now repeat after me and if you mean it by the spirit and it flows up from your heart you will be saved. I prayed this prayer many years ago and it transformed my life and so “Lord Jesus I acknowledge that I'm a sinner I was born into sin and I have sin in my life and Lord Jesus I Repent of those things and Lord Jesus I invite you to come into my heart right now in the name of Jesus.”
There's a scripture in the New Testament that says many are called and few are chosen, like the children of Israel. Moses, Moses, Moses, you go up the mountain, and we'll stay down here and party and do what we want. The people did not want the grace or anointing out of that surrendered life style.
Everything when it comes to the anointing really breaks down to where your heart is. We can all go to church; we can all raise our hands and jump up and down, but where is your heart? Is it for God? or are we just playing church? I do believe this, even the 90% of the people in the outer court are going to heaven, but I want to be a disciple of Christ. How about you? because I believe at the end of the age it will be the disciples of Christ that will be advancing the kingdom of God. I liked it to say this every once in a while, “Get in, get out, or get run over,” because God is doing something and He's transforming hearts and lives. I know He works on mine every day, and I understand that God changed me from the inside out. The Lord looks towards the whole earth to show Himself approved to people that look like you and they look like me.
Understanding the destiny that the Lord has for their lives, let's be real. Every destiny that the Lord has for His precious people will always be opposed. We must recognize that the kingdom of God suffers violence and is violently taken by force. That's why I can say with great sincerity of spirit that even in defeat we have victory. Much love.
