Becoming a laid down Lover of Christ!

Becoming Laid-Down Lovers: Embracing the Depths of God's Love

In this place that it is your presence that we seek after Lord. Lord, that we truly hunger and thirst for more, more, more, more of you, Lord. More of you. Let every heart be touched. Some that are dealing with pain right now, emotional pain, in the name of Jesus. Lord, you've heard their cry. You've seen their tears. And Lord, heal them of that emotional pain. I break this more times than I can remember.

Heal them of that emotional pain right now, in the name of Jesus. Holy Spirit, you are here. You're in our midst, Lord. And we give you all glory, honor, and praise tonight. Lord, have your way. Lord, where people have been anxious, Lord, and discouraged, that, Lord, the joy of the Lord would be their strength. And Lord, as we pray in this place, we agree with heaven. And we say, thy kingdom come.

Thy will be done. In Jesus' name, let it be today. Lord, let their hearts be so infused. Let the light that you radiate, Lord, radiate through them tonight. In the name of Jesus, Lord. And as Gwen was singing, the glory of the Lord, let it capture every person's heart, that we're not bogged down by the natural. And I see some that are in a four-wheel drive, and they're going through mud. And their tires are just spinning, spinning, and shooting out all this garbage.

Lord, that they would be found to be on solid ground. Tonight. Fixed and stable under the shelter of the Most High. Lord, I release Psalms 91 in this place over every person. Holy Spirit, that you would be their refuge. That in times of pain, in times of trouble, that they would seek you. Turn to your face, Lord, and worship you. In the name of Jesus. Just receive, just receive. The water level is rising.

Today. I really sense this isn't going to be a traditional night. The water level is rising. In Ezekiel, chapter 47. And Ezekiel was in a vision, as a matter of fact, from chapter 40 to 48 in Ezekiel, it's a total vision. But chapter 47, where the water starts to flow out of the temple. And it's ankle deep. Do you know your temple? And out of you will flow rivers of living water. Living water. Out of you.

Not a stagnant cesspool, but rivers of living water. And it first starts as ankle deep. And then in Ezekiel 47, it goes to knee deep. Then it goes to hip deep or loins deep. Then it goes to shoulder deep. And the thing that you need to catch tonight. It went over their heads and consumed them. What is the moral of what I'm trying to say tonight? With God, you can be ankle deep. You can be knee deep.

You can be hip deep. You can be shoulder deep. But he's calling you to deep waters over your head, where you're out of control. And he is the one in control tonight. We need the deep waters that the Lord desires to release. And I'm speaking this prophetically over this church tonight. The Lord is releasing those things. Yes, you can be ankle deep. Yes, you can be knee deep. Hip deep, shoulder deep.

But the presence of the Lord shows up when you're over your head and out of control, in love with the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, having him truly the author and the finisher of your faith. Just keep that hand on your heart. Expansion. Expansion. Let me ask you this question. You can open your eyes if you want. I'm going to keep mine closed for a while. How much of God do you want? We can all say we want all of him.

But really, how much of God do you want? Because when you have all of him, you have no control. Chris, you have no control of your life. He has it all. All of it. All of it. Are you bold enough to go beyond the outer court and go in to the holy of holies where the presence of the Lord is and capture his heart? Because he's captured your heart. I ask for more right now. In the name of Jesus, more, more, more.

Fill us. Fill us tonight with your presence. He's left the words of life. What are you still trying to stay in control of? What are you still trying to control in your life? Get out of control. Get radical. I'm not going to even use this word. Get fanatical for Christ. More. Oh, let it be your presence, Lord, that we hunger and that we thirst for more of you. More and more and more of you tonight, Lord.

And Lord, we are on the precipice, the edge of eternity. We are on the edge of revival. We are on the edge of the world being transformed by you. We are at the end of the age and a great and mighty outpouring of the Spirit of the Lord. More. More. More. If you mean this, I'm going to ask you to say it. Maybe I should have put it another way. But if you say it and you mean it, something is going to happen supernaturally.

You don't have to say it, but if you want to, I'll say it, and then you can say it. Lord, I give up control. Okay, on the count of three, anybody wants to say that? Lord, I give up control. One, you did it before me. Two, three. Lord, I give up control. Lord, I put you in charge of my life. I surrender everything to you tonight. Lord, have your way. And truly it will be no longer I that live, but Christ living in me.

And we ask for more right now, Lord. And let that become real in our hearts, in our lives. Lord, that we would consciously understand who we are in Christ Jesus. You know, I was flying from Ottawa today. So I went from Ottawa to Toronto, and then Toronto to Calgary. And I was watching a video, and one of my favorite portions of Scripture is this, when Jesus was on the cross, and his last words. Do you think people's last words are important?

I'd say so. And do you know what he said? It is finished, Joan, thank you. It is finished. Look at somebody and say, it's finished. Do you believe that you're a finished work? His work is finished. Your work is just getting started. It is finished. Folks, we can draw on heaven every day. Every day we can draw on the King of Kings. And yes, I'm under the anointing right now. The King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, we can draw upon him in our trials, and our tribulations, and everything that comes against us.

And Joan, for you, today, you're going. The devil is not winning. The Lord has already won, and he's already told you it is finished. And the thoughts that the devil is trying to put in your mind every day, I break that assignment against you right now, and I declare the thoughts of heaven will prevail in your heart, in your life, and you are going to tell the devil where he can go. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Amen? And know, Joan, I see this. I see angels being dispatched and on assignments. The things that are incomplete will become complete by the Spirit. And you don't have to worry. You don't have to be concerned. You know that God is at work. In Jesus' name, may I give the Lord a clap of praise. You guys. And tonight, breakthrough is in the room. And his name is the Lord Jesus Christ. He chooses to be here.

The Bible says so. Where two or more are gathered in his name, he is in our midst. How many believe the Bible? Okay. The rest of us, we still need to work on it because he is here. You know, I'm talking about tonight something that's really been on my heart for a long time, and it's called becoming a laid-down lover. Why do I lay on the floor? Becoming a laid-down lover of the Lord Jesus Christ. That's the title of what I'm speaking on tonight.

And believe it or not, we are called to be those type of people. Right? It's pretty quiet in this place tonight. You're listening. Okay, good. That's good. Laid-down lovers of Christ. You know, when I was very young, and I believed that in my life, and probably your lives, you probably may not have recognized it, but there's probably been about 10 to 12 points where the Lord has arrested my life and turned the course of my life.

Does that make sense? And for some of you, I would say and suggest that the same thing has happened with you, that God somehow gets a hold of us, and then all of a sudden, a light goes on in you. Anybody ever experience that? You ever looked at something, and all of a sudden, you get a revelation of it, and you never saw it before? That's the way God works, Helen. And He works in all of us like that.

And so there's probably in my life 10 to 12 places, and you know, we can be stubborn. You guys don't know that. But we can be stubborn, and we can ignore God. But sometimes He comes and He hits you over the head so strong that you can't help but receive it. You know, at the age of three and four and five, right around Easter time, I would watch crucifixion movies on a black and white TV, 11-inch screen, you know, with dog ears or whatever, so you could get the channel.

And we'd be sitting, my siblings and my mom and I, and we'd be sitting in the room, and we'd be crying. And every time I say that, I even want to cry now, when Jesus went to the cross, and we were watching. And I break out even at three and four, and have age, and start to cry, think, why would anyone want to die for me? I think about stuff like that. Have you ever thought about it? Why would anybody, let alone the Son of God, want to die for me?

I get angry sometimes. I get discouraged. How about you? Why would anyone die? And so, Lord, why did you die for me? And I'd be up at night, and I'd be wondering, and talking to the Lord, even at that young age. Say, Lord, I don't understand. But the thing is, we don't have to understand. We just have to accept that He did it. And Chris, you know why He did it? Because He saw you. You're the reward.

And the Bible says that. He saw you. He saw me. He saw Roger. He saw all of us. That's pretty profound to me. How about you guys? Loving. Those watching over the internet, loving you with a supernatural love, the agape love. That really we have a hard time wrapping our minds around. Becoming laid-down lovers for Christ. Why? Because He laid His life down for me. And you. And this last Easter, a couple weeks ago, I think it was April 20th, we had a demon-possessed lady show up.

I was in a Roma village, and we're doing an afternoon service. And she started to scream when I started to talk this way. And screaming, and screaming, and screaming. But you know what? She was set free. Demons don't like the sacrifice of the cross. But believers should. Amen. And so, and then when I was eight, the age of eight, I was laying, I was born in Ottawa, laying on the lawn, looking up, and seeing the moon and the sun at the same time.

And then it hit me. This just couldn't happen by itself. Like, how could this happen by itself? How could all the cells that are in my body stay together? You ever thought about it? How could the universe that is billions of stars and is still growing, so if there's billions of stars, how many planets do you think there are? Trillions of planets. God looked down, and he saw you, and he saw me, and deemed us worthy to be in relationship with him.

The creator of the universe. And we get upset if we don't have enough money at the end of the month. Can I be really honest? Let's vote. Who wants him to be honest? I do, I'll be honest. Okay, a few of you, so thank you. We get upset over things that we should never ever get upset about. Come on. Oh, somebody cut me off when I was driving here. Robbing me of my joy. Godliness. Godliness, the hope of glory.

I feel like crying. So these arrest points, and God in no way is finished. He's got, if he was to show you everything he needs to show you, and he showed it to you all at one time, you would go insane. So he takes us day by day, step by step, the scripture says, and takes us along the journey and the destiny that he set for our lives. And you've heard me say it here before, I don't believe in mistakes.

Even if it looks like a mistake. Then you're trying to determine, well, is that a mistake or, who cares? You can't change the past, but you can change your future. Okay, Paul says in Philippians 3, forget what lays behind. Forget it. That's the good, the bad, the ugly, all of it. Forget it and press on. We have today and we have the future. Forget it, what did somebody say? Just forget it. Just forget the past.

It will try to control you. Your past is always going to try to control you. Your past is probably going to tell you you're not worthy. I know people all the time, there's people in Bulgaria that I hang out with and they say, you know, you shouldn't hang out with me. And I said, why? Well, because of my past. Why? I care less about your past. I care about your future. And if people want to use your past against you, those are religious people that have not the love of God in them.

So look at somebody and say, you have no past when you're in Christ Jesus. And I want you to hear it. I want you truly to hear it. Your past doesn't have to dictate to you. Okay? We all have a past. And don't let it, it's not in control. God's in control. Amen? Another resting point in my life was probably about seven years ago. And it happened at 2.49 in the morning where the Lord spoke to me and he said, Peter, that's my name, if you didn't know.

Peter, for the rest of your life, you're going to be preaching messages on love. So I started to laugh. And I started to argue. And then he stopped me. And he said, you're not only going to have to preach this, you have to take it one step further. You're going to have to live it. And he even laughed more over that one. It's easier to preach than it is to walk in it. But Roger's helped me along the way.

So thank you, Roger. That's as far as I'm going to take that, Roger. Just to give you a little bit of heads up on that. And so since then, virtually every message that I speak, I'm going to talk about the love of God. See, I believe the Bible is a love story. You got it? Many believe it's a book of rules and regulations. But I believe it's a love story. Yeah, exactly. But it's amazing what religion can do to the Bible.

Turn it upside down. Call it a book of, you know, there's 643 commandments in the Old Testament. And not one of us is capable of keeping them in the natural. But in the supernatural, we are more than able to. Because, why? The key ingredient. For those that love Him, do something. Do you know what they do? I'll tell you, don't answer. I like to answer my own questions. Those that love Him will obey the commandments.

Have you got it? So the issue is not about obeying. Most of religion has got this wrong. It's not about obeying the commandments. It's love. And when you love the Lord Jesus Christ, you will obey the commandments. Okay? The issue is, how much do you love Christ? That's a question, I am asking that question. Because if you're in sin right now, you don't love Christ. Because if you did love Christ, you wouldn't be in sin.

I'll even go a step further and say you need to repent. Those, He's a good God. The goodness of God. The love of God. Brenda, the love of God. And really that's what everything's about. All of it, all of it, all of it stems from the love of God. So each of us have a rest point where the Lord apprehends us and gives us a new instruction. And we must be obedient to do the things He asks us to do. Love for the unlovable.

Let me ask you this, do you love yourself the way Christ loves you? When I sense that in somebody, I say, please look at the scriptures and see everything that deals with love and Christ's love for you. Sure, there's lots of other things. I understand that. But everything flows out of love. How many here have heard of the fruit of the Spirit? Okay, good, everybody should. The fruit of the Spirit, what are they?

Love, joy, peace, gentleness, kindness, long sufferings, patience, and self-control. Think about it. Self-control, controlling yourself. You know, I have many people ask me from time to time, do you mind if I'm doing a seminar on the gifts of the Spirit in June 7th in Bulgaria? So a two-day seminar on the gifts of the Spirit. But I've never had anybody ask me to do a seminar on the fruit of the Spirit.

I want you to process that. What do you think is more important? The gifts or the fruit? You know what my opinion is going to be? The fruit is way more important because without the fruit, you can't walk in the gifts. Or you shouldn't walk in the gifts. Does that make sense? It's really quiet up. You guys want to leave already? And so I'm hitting things tonight, okay? Just allow me to hit. There's some ways of thinking that we have and God wants to take us higher in the way we look at things, in the way He looks at things.

And sure, we need the gifts, but the gifts can't function without love. The Bible's pretty clear. I've got the gifts. Many of these people have got the gifts, but they're not the most important thing. Please, I want you to hear my heart. And so when the Lord showed me that, and Roger, you had a big part in this, whether you know it or not. When the Lord showed me this and He said, this is going to be the rest of your life, you must, because the church needs to hear these words, the words of love.

And that's why the Bible is a love story to me. For God so, my brother said it, God so loved the world. And that's the people out in the street, the people that most people in church don't want in their church. You know what I just said there, right? The prostitutes, the drug addicts, the alcoholics. Those are the people I like. Okay? Because Jesus died for them. They know, many times, and I don't know where this is coming from, but they know many times they're not worthy.

They're incapable, and they know it in their minds. And that's the difference, many times, between the religious way of looking at things. Because they know they can't do it, and they know they need a Savior. They just don't know how to reach Him. So they go to alcohol, prostitution, all these things. And they don't know how to capture Him. And that's where it's important that we come in. And that we touch people by the Spirit.

And bring them into the kingdom of God. I am helpless without Christ. Honestly, you guys. I can do nothing without Christ in my heart and my life. And I'm so grateful that He chose me. How about you? I wrote this down. The gifts are about us. But the fruit is about Him. I want you to process thatHas anybody ever had a word over their life? A prophetic word? Amen, I have. I've had many. Is that money you're handing out?

Kira, yeah. And many of them have come about. But there's still some that God's still working on, right? But what's my priority? Love. You know, I was in Greece two weeks ago. And I was ministering in Greece. And I was flying back from Athens to Sofia, Bulgaria. And you ever been on a plane? And you know, when you get 30,000 feet up, you have the authorization to put your seat back six inches. So it goes like...

Six inches, not even. And the person behind me started to kick my seat. Because I put my seat back. It started a whole uproar on the whole plane where the stewardess is set to go. And I'm thinking, now, Lord, how do you want me to react? And I know how He wants me to react. But, Lord, You know me. I don't like stuff like this. And I have a brown belt in Jiu-Jitsu. And so, Lord, how do you want me to react?

He said, Peter, love. Peter, love. So I get up and I smiled. And I said, I'm authorized to have that seat go back six inches. Thank you very much. And I'm going to put it back six inches. And then she started to manifest. Oh, I said it was a woman. Oh, no. And then that person started to manifest even more. And I just kept smiling. Smiling, no, you're not going to have your way. I'm going to put my seat back six inches.

I love you, but I'm putting my seat back six inches. That was just two weeks ago. Do you know that God tests His word? In you? In me? And He does it all the time. Sometimes we fail the test, too, by the way. And then what do we do? We repent. We get up. We forget the past. And we go forward again. Right? Yeah. And so anyway, if you want to look at the fruit of the Spirit, Galatians 5, verse 22 and 23, and it's no, we're not going to it, but it's interesting.

And it says at the end of this, and I still don't have a revelation of it, but it says, against such, there is no law. So in other words, if you're walking in love, you're walking in compassion, walking in kindness, gentleness, patience, long-suffering, self-control. That's it. Thank you for reminding me. There's no law against it. And so why does the Church not walk in those things? There's laws against everything else, but not against love, joy, gentleness, kindness, long-suffering.

You got it, right? I've heard somebody say, walk in those, and you're obeying. Everything that God wants you to obey is found in those things. And I've said it so many times, but I'll repeat it again. You know, we're not going to get to heaven, and God's going to say, Peter Nash, you love too much. You can't come in. No, no, no, no, no, no. You love too much. But you can't get in here, then. You won't fit in.

God's never going to say that. There's, you know, and then people sometimes tell me, you know, maybe you love too much. Maybe you've got too much compassion, or maybe you've got too much mercy. Well, tell me, how can we have too much of that? Think about it. Everything else is self. You understand what I just said there? If we're not walking in love, if we're not walking in compassion, if we're not walking in mercy, we're not walking with God.

And we're all human beings, and I know we all can be challenged, but we have something that we can utilize every day, and that's repentance. Until you get it right, Lord, I repent. Please forgive me. I repent from these things. But have you ever got to the point where you've loved too much? There's always a little bit of us that's still there. I don't want to talk about this part. They hurt me. They hurt me.

You know, everybody's been betrayed. Everyone in this room's been betrayed. Daryl, everyone has been betrayed. And it's what we do with those betrayals that tell us whether we're walking with the kingdom or we're walking away from the kingdom. See, sometimes I know people's stories. Not everyone's. But God knows your story, and he still calls you to love. Love for the unlovable. Help us, God. Help us, Lord.

Help us, Lord. We need you. And you know what the neat part of that is? He wants to meet you exactly where you are and pour out exactly what you need by the Spirit. Even tonight, he desires to pour it out into you, that out of you will flow rivers of living water. Not a cesspool, but rivers of living water out of your life. And people will one day say, you're different. You're called to be different.

So why is the church not different? We're in the world, and we're not part of the world. And God wants us to walk hand in hand with him. Are you walking with him through the struggles and the perils of life? Are you carrying the Bible in one hand and a knife in the other? Whoa, I didn't even think I'd ever say anything like that. What does it mean to be a Christian? Remember, I answer my own questions.

What does it mean? I want you to think about that in your own mind just for a second. So many claim to be Christian, but is their claim valid? Because in my mind, Christians are to look like Christ. Is this our message? Do you look like Christ? And that's between you and God. You'll get no judgment out of me, because I'm preaching to myself as much as I'm preaching to anybody else. Well, I look like Christ.

Isaiah chapter 60, verse 2, says, and the glory of the Lord will be seen on us. Let me ask you this. If the glory of the Lord is being seen on us, do you think the world would be attracted like a bug to one of those zapper lights? I'd say, yeah. The world would want that. Every church would be filled. And the scripture says, it will happen. Roger. It will happen. We don't have to make it happen. It will happen, because God will make it happen.

A fruit tree is not standing out there getting hemorrhoids, trying to produce an apple or an orange. It's an orange tree. It's not going. An apple tree produces what? Naturally. Naturally. You know, when I was in Greece, and they have lemon trees waiting in everybody's backyard. They have orange trees waiting in everybody's backyard. You go out, and you pick it up, and away you go. And I've never been in a place like that before.

So why don't we all stand up and look like a Christian tree? What does a Christian tree produce? Christian fruit. What is a fruit? Love, joy, peace, gentleness, kindness, patience, long suffering, and last but not least, self-control. Do you know what self-control means? You can control yourself. You don't have to have that extra piece of pie, even though it's very tempting. And I'm using it as an example.

You don't have to get angry. But I'm from Ireland. I'm an Irish person. We fight everybody. Maybe it's the same in the Philippines. I don't know. We have Donnie Brooks every weekend, where we just fight, fight, fight. And that was my upbringing, believe it or not. And all that changed through the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ. Is anybody getting anything tonight? Amen. Amen. Unconditional, selfless love.

That's the love of Christ. Unconditional. And how many times do we put conditions in our love? Oh, they were mean to me. They said that my underarms smelled bad. How many times do we put conditions on love? Every day. Every day. Every day. They spit at Jesus. They put a crown of thorns on his head. They whipped him. Innocent of every charge. Yet he did not defend himself. Our King, our perfect example.

He could have called on legions of angels to protect him. But he chose to go to the cross because it was his Father's will. I'm going to be very clear about the next statement I make. Sometimes the bad things that happen to us can be part of God's plans and purposes for our lives. I'm going to say it again. Sometimes the very for our destiny in our life. There's so many out there that think if it isn't something good happening, they think that God may not be in it.

But I'm here to tell you, we are called to the sufferings of Christ. I hope I'm not getting people depressed. And the type of love, that selfless love, that Christ is, it's given freely. There's no requirement. He gives it anyway. Just free, handing it out to any that will receive him as Lord and Savior of their lives, truly from their hearts. He gives that love freely. How about you? You know, Jesus, we're going to go through a scripture in a while.

Jesus laid his life down. And he said these words, and we're going to read them in a few minutes. No one took his life. He gave his life, willingly. Willingly. And he said in the Garden of Gethsemane, not my will, but let your will be done, Father. You know that the Lord has got a will for each of you, each of me? Or I'm only one. But all of us, he's got a destiny, and he's got a will. And it may not look the way you want it to look.

You know, I've said it before. I don't know if I'd die for anybody. But Jesus did. And then I remembered, in one of my past deployments, I had to guard presidents, prime ministers, queen, pope. Now, they didn't have any kings then. But all these guys, and I had to be prepared to give my life. And you know, I repent to each of you, because I haven't been prepared to give my life for you. But I will, because we're all called to lay our lives down for others.

Do you believe that? It's biblical. It's scriptural. Whether you want to or not, it's in the scripture, selfless love. And that's what we're after, because Christ said, it is finished. I'm sure there's people you have a hard time loving, maybe even yourself. I don't need an answer, but we'll pray at the end of the service, OK? And for others at the end of the service. Jesus said, you know, how many times do we forgive?

Seven times. By the way, seven's a perfect number, by the way. And he's just using it in an example. Seven times seven. 49. 49. And the scripture says that we are being molded into something. Do you know what you're being molded into? The image of the Lord Jesus Christ. And so all these things that come against you, maybe, just maybe, God is getting you to look like Christ through these things. OK.

Yes, Jesus went to the cross as man, but he also went as God, surrendering his life for you. Because the scripture says he saw the reward that was set before him. And it's you, Chris. It's you. It's Roger. It's Gwen. I don't know about the rest of the rows, but the first row, anyway. All of us. All of us. You're the reward of the kingdom of God. You're the reward of the sacrifice of his life. I think that's pretty important.

And I think that's pretty significant. How about you? What area are you struggling in tonight in unforgiveness? Tonight. And you have an inability in yourself. You know, maybe you even want revenge. You know, I don't see revenge in the gospel at allWhere we had the songs. Why? Because I want you to see these words. They're not just words in the page. The Bible says they are life to you. And they're life to me.

And then I'll mostly be finished. Mostly. Do you know some of Jesus's disciples had a hard time with him? Some of his disciples actually left him. Because of the things that he was talking about. And this scripture highlights some of these things. Because with man it's impossible. But with God, all things are possible. We've got to get out of our minds. Look at somebody saying, get out of your mind.

To have the mind of Christ. Let me know when it's up. Oh, we thank you Lord tonight. Hayden loves me. I've broken this three times, I think. Okay, is it up? Scripture up? You want me to talk more? Okay, I'm going to read it. For this reason, the father, this is Jesus's words. For this reason, the father loves me. Because I lay down my own life. Why did the father love Christ? Did this sentence just tell us?

Why? Because he laid his life down. To take it back again. No one takes it away from me. On the contrary, I lay it down voluntarily. I put it from myself. I am authorized and have power to lay it down, to resign it. And I am authorized and have power to take it back again. These are the instructions, orders, which I have received as my charge from my father. So what was the father's instruction to Christ?

Lay down your life. And when you lay it down, you can have it back. Did you hear that? And in the same thing, Apron, sorry, I'm losing it, happened to Abraham and Isaac. Isaac was put on the altar in the book of Genesis and Abraham knew, even if he killed Isaac, Isaac would come back. It's a foreshadowing of Christ. Yeah, amen? Amen. When we give up our lives and we give it willingly, when we are, let me finish, obedient to the plans of heaven, not just cavalierly doing these things, but knowing that we are obedient.

I'm in Bulgaria because I'm obedient to the plans of heaven. I couldn't even spell Bulgaria. Let alone live there. Touch people. These are the instructions, orders, which I have received as my charge. Do you know that God charges all of us with our destiny? We're not just here to do, oh, 70 years, have a three-car garage, you know. No, we are here to repense the kingdom of God. Then a fresh, when Jesus said these things, he said it to his disciples.

And you know what they did? Read the next little part. Okay. Then a fresh division of opinion arose among the Jews because of his saying these things. Many of them said he has a demon and he is mad, insane, he rambles, he raves. Why do you listen to him? This is what the Jewish people, some of them his disciples, were saying about Christ. When you walk with the Lord, there will be people that will never understand.

Why? Why, Daryl? Why? When you walk with the Lord, people will call you insane. They will say you're mad and you don't know what you're doing. Have you ever heard this scripture? His ways are higher than our ways. His thoughts are higher than our thoughts. God's ways of doing things is the right way. Jesus going to the cross, as much as it hurt the disciples, was the right way. The right way. It was painful.

Why? Because our emotions get involved. And when we're led by our emotions, we are sure not to hear the voice of God. As a matter of fact, some of you know this. I believe that the sin in the garden was predominantly because of emotion. It was desirable to look at that apple and want to eat it. And I don't even necessarily think it was an apple. Think about it. Hmm, our desires, our emotions. I'm going to have the band come back, you guys.

Very few people preaching what I preached on tonight. I'm called to look like Christ. And he's the one that's going to do it. Will you let him mold you to the image of Christ? Because that's what you call to. There's a remnant of Christians that are hungry and thirsty and desperate for God willing to lay their lives aside. To look like Christ. Are you one of them? Or you just want to live your life and get out of here and get into eternity.

And if you're looking at it that way, you may not make it. Tonight, let this be a night of transformation. Those that are hungry for Christ, they love him and they want to serve him. They have a desire, a heavenly desire to live pure and holy before the world. Not to look like the world, but to look like Christ. They're not bound up and I'm going to call it religiosity. They just want to look like Jesus.

And they won't be accepted. In the Universal Church. But they will be accepted here. In this church. Can I hear an amen? They've been broken. People that are broken are the very best people. That have gone through things in their lives. Broken before the Lord because the Lord is the one that reconstructs them into the image of Christ. Okay. The drug addicts, the prostitutes, those that have changed their lives and put the Lord at the center.

Those are the ones that God will use to advance his kingdom. They don't care about whether they have a ministry title. They just want to touch people for Jesus. They love to pray. They love people. They love to worship. They love to do all these things that are heavenly focus. They love to witness who they are. These are the people that are laying down their lives. They are givers and they're not takers.

Do you understand what I mean by that? They give, give, give everything, everything to the kingdom of God. They're not takers. And they have a joy that can never be shaken. A joy that comes from the throne room of heaven. They're not walking in discouragement. They're not walking in depression. They're not walking in those things. They're walking in the joy. And it doesn't matter about their circumstances.

You know, I go to Mozambique. I haven't been there in 10 years and we go to an AIDS orphanage. And in this AIDS orphanage, all the children that are there, their parents were killed because of AIDS. And they wake up in the morning. No parents being taken care of by these Christian people that love the Lord Jesus Christ. I've been there. I've seen it. And you know what they do every morning? Pastor, they're singing praises to the Lord.

Five in the morning, singing praises. Darryl, have you been there? I can't remember. Singing praises to God, not even knowing if they'll have bread that day. Jesus, we need you. The church is shifting. If you become the man or the woman that Jesus has called you to become, these are the attributes. These are the things that you will walk in, that will be no longer I that liveth, but Christ that liveth in me.

The hope of eternity. In our hearts, in our lives. Why don't we just stand? I'm finishing. He's overcoming sadness, overcoming disease, overcoming, being called overcomers because they are overcomers. They are conquerors. They no longer see shame, guilt. Any of these other attributes that try to keep the Christian down. No, they see the Lord. They see who he is and what he did. And they counted all joy.

The scripture says, when you walk through various trials and tribulations, for it's for the perfecting. For it's for the perfecting of your faith in him. More. Keep the temple going. More. They love the loss. They love the hurting, the dying and the broken. How about you? More. They have seen the Savior and he walks with them and he talks to them. They are warriors for the kingdom of God and the Lord tonight in this place is raising up those warriors for his kingdom.

More. Take us in. Take us in. More.
